Correspondence received on Gaza Crisis W/E 15.02.09Assalamu Alaikum, Here's a collection of e-mails over 2 weeks as I've been busy helping Respect Manchester with various activities for the convoy 'A Lifeline from Britain to Gaza' which will be leaving Saffron restaurant (Cheetham Hill) after Jummah around 4pm... please try to make it for the leaving party.
The convoy of 100 vehicles over a mile long will have a million pounds of aid raised in just 4 weeks. (inc a boat, fire Engine and 12 ambulances) and they will travel a distance of approx 5,000 miles passing thru Belgium, France, Spain, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt and through Rafah into Gaza. Estimated time is 17 days and all being well the convoy is scheduled to arrive around 2nd March, Insha Allah.
The convoy consists of vehicles from Scotland, Luton, Northampton, Bolton, Dewsbury, Rochdale, Bradford, Manchester, London, High Wycombe, Maidenhead, Slough, Wales, Brighton, Gloucester, Oxford and Chester.
